In situ sum-frequency generation spectroscopy characterization of the metalization of organic self-assembled films for the development of molecular electronic components

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The realization of reproducible and stable metallic contacts on organic molecules is technologically important for the development of molecular electronic devices. The mechanisms for the growth by electrodeposition of metallic films (Au, Cu) on self-assembled monolayers of dithiols adsorbed on Au or Pt are therefore studied in situ by SFG.
