Improving pikeperch larval quality and production by broodstock management, husbandry and nutrition and sex control

Project: Research

Project Details

This R&D project, funded by the European Union, was built to ensure the on-farm production and supply of pikeperch juveniles, Sander lucioperca, to reinforce the sustainability of pikeperch farming within Europe. The results allowed fish farmers to become independent from the stocks of breeders caught in the wild and to be able to perform several production cycles in the year.
