Genetic and biochemical approach of the SpSkp1's function and its partners in the control of the transcription and the cell cycle in Schizosaccharomyces pombe

In order to investigate the regulation's network of CAK complex in fission yeast, we identify a Skp1 homologue. The genetic analysis of the skp1-deleted cells and the skp1-3f mutant suuported that Skp1 and Pof6 play an essential role in cytokinesis in an non-SCF complex and that Skp1 is required prior the centrosome segregation in mitosis in a SCF dependent manner. The molecular mechanisms involved in these two proccess of the cell cycle are under investigation
