Functional assignement of Omp85, a highly conserved outer membrane protein in Neisseria meningitidis, in surface expression of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Rôle of its homologue in Brucella abortus

Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

Omp1 of B. abortus and Omp85 of N. meningitidis are representatives of a group of outer membrane proteins that seems to be highly conserved in all the Gram negative bacteria. We are testing the involvemet of these proteins in the transport of LPS to the outer membrane.
