Project Details

Description

The biogeochemical cycles of the elements are naturally uncoupled on Earth. When they are incorporated in the biological cycles and in the organic matter, a closer relationship among elements sets in, although the uncoupling may partly remain. This uncoupling may simply be of trophic nature, but also spatial and temporal,as producer communities are distributed heterogeneously in the ecosystem.
