Description

The CRID participated in the Creative Commons International project, by translating and adapting the creation commons free licences to Belgian law. The Creative Commons project has been created by Lawrence Lessig of the Stanford University and aims at providing for a legal framework for the free diffusion of copyrighted works, which may be compared to the open source movement as regards software. The translation of the licences, which was carried ou by the CRID, aims at making the latter compatible to Belgian law and making them available in French and Dutch.
