collisional relaxation and molecular interaction at very low temperature (between 10K and 40K)

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Using diode-laser spectroscopy, we study collisional broadening coefficients of infrared absorption lines of (CH4) molecules diluted in He. The collisional cooling technique is used in a cell which enables to reach a temperature of 10K through collisions with He. This allows us to better understand molecular interactions.
