Description

The objective of this research is to examine the laws, uses and ideas - especially around urban identity - playing a role in the relationship between cities and their watercourse. Three cities of the Sambre valley are investigated: Maubeuge, Charleroi and Namur. The period concerned goes from the 17th to the 20th century.
