Characterization of carbon nanotubes by scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS)

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

STM microscopy is used to measure the dimensions and to characterize carbon nanotubes produced by the catalytic decomposition of acetylene. STS spectroscopy is used to study the electronic properties of these nanotubes and to compare them with their atomic structure.
