Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to understand the transduction pathways leading to the apoptotic features, mainly at the level of receptors and signalling as well as through mitochondria.Bax translocation into thenucleus is also investigated.
Experimental models
-HepG2 incubated in the presence of ter-butyl hydroperoxide
-HepG2 and COS-7 exposed to hypoxia
-L929 incubated in the presence of TNF-alpha
Techniques : DNA ladder (agarose gel, ELISA), cytochrome c release (western blot), PARP cleavage (western blot), caspase-3 activity (activity assay), JNK phosphorylation (western blot), Bax translocation (confocal microscopy)
