Analysis of the traffic planning for the city of Namur

This study financed by the Walloon Ministry of Equipment and Transportation (General Direction of Roads, Direction
of Roads of Namur) represented an assessed traffic study regarding various scenario of road developments as
defined in the circulation plan proposed by the Transitec company.

The studies had to define, beside the effects of modal transfer, dissuasion car parks and access controls, the impact
of development on the volume of traffic with private vehicles and consequently on the developments capacities to
receive the estimated traffic. The important modifications to the railway station site had to be taken into account
namely the setting up of the MET offices and the possible creation of cinema on the station paving stone.
