Description
Companion animals share an growing place in human life (i.e. high numbers of pet owners and of pets per family). Our results show that the major meaning of dogs names has human connotation. The breed (and its use) influences the name of the dog in variable ways : number of syllables, types of vowels and consonants, and meaning.
