Introduction

Naji Habra is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science where he is in charge of the Software Engineering, Software Quality and Information Systems Strategy courses. For ten years, he has been in charge of the first year programming courses.

He presided over the creation of the multi-faculty research centre PReCISE specialised in Information Systems Engineering.

His research areas include software quality, software measurements and Agile processes, in which he has published several dozen articles in journals and conferences. He has led several research projects with Walloon and European funding in research topics related to software quality (e.g. improvement of software processes in SMEs, quality of open source software, certification of software components...).

He is co-holder of the E-Government chair (Electronic Administration).

From 2005 until September 2011 he was President of the General Assembly of the University before being elected to preside as Dean of the Faculty of Informatics between 2011 and 2015.

From 2011 to 2015, he chaired the University's Teaching Commission as well as the two reform projects linked to teaching: the renewal of PUNCH pedagogy and the reform of the Masters.

Since September 2015, he has been First Vice-Rector in charge of personnel and HR.

With a small team, he continues to lead several research projects and to supervise two doctoral theses in Agile approach and E-Government.
